Abundana Institute for Self‑Management

Discover our mission…

Committed to Self-Management

The Abundana® Institute is committed to helping people improve their self-confidence and confidence in their own abilities, and thus improve their mental health.

To achieve this, the institute promotes smart self-management and a sound knowledge of one's own personality, as proposed by the ZRM® and the PSI personality theory. Its activities are mainly aimed at neurodivergent people. The institute also supports their employers, in order to foster mutual understanding and facilitate smooth collaboration.

Focusing on self-management

We are convinced that we all possess within ourselves the means to resolve a large part of the difficulties we encounter in our lives. That is why we emphasize self-management.

Success, pleasure and well-being are the benefits of smart self-management.

The Abundana® Institute is dedicated to promoting smart self-management and thereby contributing to general mental health, particularly among neurodivergent people.

Our main topics

Through coaching and training, we impart practical knowledge about self-management and one's personality.

For this purpose, we focus primarily on two scientifically validated approaches, that are still quite unknown in English- and French-speaking regions.

How the Institute started

The institute's initial goal in 2018 was to promote self-management based on ZRM® in the Geneva region. To this end, Beát Edelmann founded the Abundana® Institute. In August 2025, the institute became a nonprofit organization based in Geneva.

What is the meaning of Abundana?

Abundana is made up of two words:

  • the English word abundance
  • and the Persian word dana (دانا) which means "wise". It is used for people who have a lot of experience and knowledge.

The name of the institute reflects one of our core principles: that we have a wealth of resources within ourselves to deal with our challenges.

Neurodiversity

Very late in life, at the age of 61, the founder of the institute learned that he was autistic with ADHD and a high IQ. Following this discovery, he started studying neurodiversity in depth and now offers his expertise in this particular field to

Emphasis on intuitive intelligence

Unlike self-management, self-discipline is tiresome, unreliable and does not work in the long run as neuroscience and motivation psychology show us today. Self-management is fundamentally based on goals that are fully aligned with your nature.

However, self-management is a smarter approach, as scientific discoveries confirm today. True self-management is based on the proper balance between your analytical intelligence and your intuitive (mainly unconscious) intelligence.

This way, you can make decisions that are true to yourself and your nature. The subsequent solutions will motivate you fully and will give you the strength to put them into practice. This allows you to abandon old habits and replace them with more appropriate behavior with little effort.

With self-management, you can easily reach your goals and feel more satisfied with the results of your efforts. On top of that, you'll lower your stress levels and reduce your risk of burnout.

Our guiding principle

Each individual is perfectly capable of knowing what they need to develop to the best of their ability. Each person knows intuitively, based on their life experiences, what is good or bad for them. We share this belief with the founders of the ZRM®.
